SOME areas in Tutong were flooded yesterday after Sunday’s heavy rains, with the highest water level recorded at Jalan Bangkuru in Mukim Rambai at 0.50 metre high in the morning at one kilometre’s distance, making the road inaccessible for small cars.
In Kg Benutan and Jalan Utama Kg Bukit, the water level was at 0.30 metres in the morning, making it also inaccessible to small cars.
Jalan Kuala Ungar was also flooded to 0.20 metre high in the morning, but saloon cars were still able drive through.
The Tutong District Officer, Awang Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, told the Bulletin that government agencies are continuously monitoring the situation and he hopes that the condition will not worsen.
