THIRTY members of the Girl Guides Association of Selangor, Malaysia, who are currently in the Sultanate yesterday made a visit to the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association (BDGGA).
The delegates, led by Chief Commissioner (of the association’s Selangor branch) Hjh Nurulain binti Hj Ngah, were received at the BDGGA headquarters in Kg Anggerek Desa.
Among the visit’s objectives were to share and exchange ideas on Girl Guides activities and foster closer ties among members.
In her welcome speech, the BDG-GA’s Chief Commissioner, Dyg Hjh Siti Hafsah binti Hj Abdul Halim, said that she hopes the visit serves to enhance the participants’ knowledge on the various programmes that had been implemented by the two associations.
In addition to this, she hopes that the visiting delegates will obtain more knowledge and experience, make new friends and learn more about the culture and customs of the local people during their stay in the country.
The speech was followed by a brief introduction on BDGGA presented by Dyg Norazrina binti Hj Serbini as well as a presentation on Cyber Security by one of the delegates.
During their visit yesterday, the delegation also had the opportunity to learn about traditional games and took part in some crafts-making activities.
