I BELIEVE the LTD top management should be at the LTD front lines or counter services of their own creation and experience the impact or frustration of their implemented rules and regulations imposed on their customers.
I went to Gadong LTD to renew my expiring driver’s licence and was asked to get a number.
Upon reaching the ticketing machine counter, the man said they ran out of numbers for the morning session. Fair enough, he said come early next time.
I tried Gadong Menglait Post Office too but was told they do not issue driver’s licences. In the afternoon, I went to Sg Akar LTD.
After finding a place to park, I approached the ticketing counter and the man said he has run out off numbers for the afternoon session (40 numbers for afternoon session). Mind you, it was before 2pm.
How did you arrive at that number for morning and afternoon session for the whole of LTD in Brunei?
Government servants’ time at office is logged and for personal chores, we have to take leave.
I cannot imagine how much leave I will need to renew my driver’s licence based on LTD’s new rules and regulations for a photo licence. Imagine the implications for the poor private sector workers.
I hope the top LTD management will look into this matter as your customers could be ‘Warga Emas customers’ who might have travelled long distances perhaps with traffic jams along the way to renew their driver’s licences, only to be told by the ticketing man that they ran out of numbers and have to come early next time.
May I suggest a drop box for renewal applications with photographs attached so you may address issues like the one I have experienced. Verification and payment can be done upon collection.
– Frustrated but understand there is room for improvement
