IN CELEBRATION of Teacher’s Day and the 1st Anniversary of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels Brunei, Freshco in Batu Satu yesterday conducted several activities for an afternoon of music and fun, prepared to make the day truly remarkable.
First among these activities was the musical recital of Yippy Tune Music School at Hall A of the Putera Banquet Hall.
The recital comprised perfor-mances from a total of 60 talented students.
According to the Director of Yippy Tune, Deon Ong, “This special event not only signifies the importance of teachers, but it also serves to remind students that music can be used as an instrument to celebrate, recognise and express thanks and appreciation for your special loved ones.”
Present at the event were the principal of St Andrew’s School, Jane Keasberry, and the Deputy Principal (Pre-school) from Seri Mulia Sarjana School (SMSS), Cecil Landingin, along with teachers from different institutions.
Another activity that caught the attention of many was the appearance of Brunei Cosplayers, all clothed in colourful costumes of their favourite superheroes or anime characters.
As for Auntie Anne’s Pretzels Brunei’s 1st Anniversary, a special promotion was held yesterday whereby customers were given free caramel dip for every purchase of two pretzels in a single transaction, along with a pasta and pretzel making class for young aspiring cooks.
It has been a year since Auntie Anne’s served the first pretzel in Brunei, and there’s no looking back since then. Aside from the usual flavours, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels has produced quite a number of products which has delighted its Bruneian patrons.
Auntie Anne’s Pretzels Brunei, under the management of Delicious Jo Food, has branches at Freshco in Batu Satu and Times Square Shopping Centre.
