DES School celebrated ‘Friendship Week’ on January 26 to 31. The students had the opportunity to learn about friendships across a range of activities and they worked with other students from different year groups throughout the week.
The school’s pre-school students spent the week playing with different friends, helping each other with daily tasks.
Students were involved in activities and lessons that focused on the theme of friendship. Students also learnt how to be a good friend, how to resolve differences and how to get along with others.
The school’s primary students also enjoyed a drama on anti-bullying and the importance of respecting and accepting each other.
Friendship Week is a special annual event that focuses on ‘anti-bullying’ and ways to form and maintain strong, healthy relationships.
