A TOTAL of 27 senior government officers attended a four-day course on Organisation Development that was organised by the Civil Service Institute (IPA) from February 2 to 5 at its premises in Jalan Kampong Rimba, Gadong, according to a press release.
The participants learnt strategic and systematic perspec-tives as well as specific process experience of change and learning in human social systems.
“In today’s more complex, chaotic and fast-changing times, leading change has emerged as a competency for effective leaders and managers”, said course consultant Dr Perla Rizalina Tayko, who is also the Director of the Organisation Development Institute of the Graduate School of Business, Assumption University of Thailand.
During the course, participants explored and developed various models of understanding, visualised organisations as dynamic living systems, and learnt about Organisation Development as a planned change that can help facilitate transformation in all levels of an organisation.
Various models, strategies and approaches for change were also explored and distinguished, while the relevance to one’s own professional role as well as in the organisational and cultural context was also discussed.
Dyg Hjh Linda Aini Abdullah, Senior Special Duties Officer, IPA’s Head of Centre for Learning and Development, also presented certificates to participants who successfully completed the course.
