MEMBERS of the Student Representatives Council (MPP) of Sayyidina Ali Secondary School (SMSA) yesterday began their three-day ‘Food Galore’ activity which encourages students to come up with their own food products in an attempt to raise funds for future activities.
Organised for the first time, seven booths were strategically set up at the school’s foyer which attracted quite a number students and teachers especially those looking for something different other than the everyday canteen food.
One of the students involved in the Food Galore activity was 17-year-old Aainaa Naasyidah binti Haji Mohammad, the assistant head of the MPP who is currently studying in Pre-U2.
“At first we wanted to do this activity just for the fun of it. We have no specific financial target and anything that we earn from the sales will be used to support MPP’s funds in organising future trips and activities,” she said.
“Some of us even woke up very early to prepare the food and we don’t plan to stick to one product depending on the performance of the sales,” she continued.
Members of the public are welcome to visit the ‘Food Galore’ which will continue today and tomorrow from 8am to 12pm at the foyer of SMSA.
