SOME 100 personnel from various government departments attended a financial planning talk recently held at the Civil Services Institute.
Present to deliver the talk was Wealth Management (WMU) Officer of BIBD, Rozielawati binti Hj Jamil, a certified Islamic Financial Planner.
As part of the BIBD’s initiative in helping to educate the public in better understanding on their personal financial management, the talk also aimed to accentuate the importance of being smart about money management and develop a saving culture especially at the early stage of one’s career.
Rozielawati also highlighted the significance of being financially prepared for different stages of life – from being single, having a family, up to retirement, as it entails different commitment and spending patterns.
The series of talks is in line with BIBD’s role as a Bruneian financial institution responsible for highlighting the benefits of financial planning, encouraging the public towards more prudent financial planning practices.
Financial planning is about preparing for the future which can be done by making better decisions now through available tools that can help in achieving financial security that each and everyone of us desires.
