FC RANTAU (Indonesia) and TyreTech FC (Malaysia) played a friendly football game to further promote friendship and understanding among the respective expatriate communities in Brunei Darussalam, in the spirit of Asean solidarity.
“FC Rantau won the friendly 5-0 held recently. The friendly also achieved the organisers’ goal of improving friendly sporting relations and at the same time enabled the players involved to get a good workout and to de-stress through football. After all, everybody needs a healthy mind and a healthy body to be more productive at work,” commented Asep Iskandar, FC Rantau’s Team Manager.
“We hope to continue playing more friendly matches as we believe that it is a good way for the Indonesian expats who are dispersed all over the country to meet, train, exercise and play friendlies to renew friendships as well as to make new ones, especially those from neighbouring countries,” he further explained. FC Rantau hopes to play more friendly matches with local football teams in the future and those interested may contact them at 7235048.
