KUALA LUMPUR (NST) – A video of a fast food chain staff involved in a tussle at its Jalan Raja Laut franchise has gone viral since Friday.
Its Malaysian senior vice-president Ling Mee Jiuan in a statement said initial investigation revealed that the fight occurred between two siblings over a private matter.
“It has come to our attention that there has been a video circulating in the digital sphere involving KFC staff.
“The incident that happened at the Jalan Raja Laut’s outlet involving our staff is highly regrettable.
“We have initiated an extensive internal investigation to fully understand the cause of this incident,” he said on its Facebook page.
He added that the fast food chain conducts extensive training on what is expected of their staff when working at the restaurants, but had failed following this occasion.
“Rest assured that we will improve on our existing programs, so as to avoid incidents of this nature from happening again.
“We are committed to the highest standards of excellence and strive to ensure the safety and well being of both our customers and staff at all times,” he said.
