MABOHAI Shopping Complex’s family event dubbed PANDA SUNDA’! last Sunday proved a great hit with families where the event kicked off with the opening of the Panda themed photo booth with several children being part of the activity.
Composed with real bamboo plants as a backdrop, the photo booth also featured several handcrafted pandas with stuffed toy pandas for families to pose with.
The family event also saw the new Executive Chef of Misato Teppanyaki Restaurant Chef Agus, and his crew showcasing their acrobatic food skills preparation on the event stage, charming the crowd with their performance involving salt & pepper shakers, eggs and various cooking utensils.
A mini sushi making contest was also held which saw three lucky children each bringing home a box of especially prepared Panda shaped sushi.
The highlight of the day was an action packed 20-minutes Wushu Presentation by the athletes of the Brunei Wushu Federation who performed through special permission from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Showcasing the Wushu arts were 18 young athletes aged six upwards showcasing the art, beauty and strength of the sport. This then was followed by a special intermission performance by senior students of En Pointe Academy of Dance led by Regina Malabayabas, Director of the Academy.
Global Art were also on hand throughout the day giving away free origami and craft lessons to children who made panda masks and book marks.
The management of Mabohai Shopping Complex expressed delight with the enthusiastic response from families who came in droves throughout the day to have a family fun day at Mabohai Shopping Complex.
