FORTY-two students of Fairview School from Year 4 to Year 6 participated in the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) educational camp, recently. The camp was organised by the school in collaboration with the Private Institutions Section of the Ministry of Education.
Awang Haji Abd Rahim bin Haji Budin, Head of Supervising and Monitoring at the Private Institutions Section, MoE, launched MIB Camp Day.
Students participated in various activities and programmes on MIB. Some of these were cooking traditional Bruneian delicacies, participating in Brunei traditional games, MIB-related quizzes and learning about the local music instruments.
The event aims to nurture greater understanding of the concept of MIB among the students so as to implement, promote and develop a sense of appreciation among the students and teachers.
It also aims to strengthen the moral values among the students and teachers such as mutual respect, cooperation, courtesy, and implement patriotism and nationalism.
