THE Ministry of Religious Affair of Brunei Darussalam officially presented Excapade Restaurant with the halal certification on January 27 in the presence of the Ministry’s Halal certification auditors and Excapade Restaurant management team at the Syariah Affairs Department in Bandar Seri Begawan.
According to a press release, the certificate was presented by Senior Auditor of the ministry’s Halal Certification Department, Zurina Salwa binti Haji Osman, to Excapade Restaurant Senior Manager Calvin Cheah. Upon the handover of the certificate, Excapade Restaurant is now eligible to display the government’s official Halal logo in its branches. Excapade Restaurant is guaranteed to be in compliance with the Islamic law in regards to storing, handling, transporting, cleaning, cooking and serving its products to customers as it adhered to the regulated standards and processes set by the ministry’s Halal certification committee.
“This is a momentous occasion for us in our dedication towards continuous quality improvement as well as accessibility and assurance of our products and services to Muslim and non-Muslim customers of Brunei Darussalam”, said Public Affairs manager Ezqyl bin Redzwan.
