THE Ministry of Health handed over five ambulances worth B$2.1 million to the Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) during a ceremony at the ministry’s Al-’Afiah Hall yesterday.
Minister of Health, Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohd Yusof, facilitated the ceremony.
A mock key was presented by Director of Bayu Ilham Motors Sdn Bhd, Pengiran Haji Damit Ibni Al-Marhum YTM Pengiran Digadong Pengiran Anak Haji Kamis, to a Special Duties Officer from the ministry, Haji Mahrub bin Haji Murni, who in turn presented it to Medical Superintendent of RIPAS Hospital, Dr Ang Swee Hui, and Head of EMAS, Hajah Nora binti Haji Mohd Yussof.
The minister later inspected the vehicles.
Also present were the ministry’s deputy permanent secretary, director general and staff members.
