BRUNEI’S very own international recording artist, Maria Grace Koh or better known as Eia, is now a vocal instructor at Symphony Music in Gadong.
Maria will be conducting various vocal classes ranging from contemporary pop to broadway and jazz. Classes will be conducted through one to one session.
While announcing her new move to help build local talents, Maria said, “Everyone can sing and has their own unique voice. One only needs someone to help bring out their talent. I want to promote the creative industry in Brunei Darussalam and nurture local talents.”
On the benefit of singing, she said, “Music can give a good balance in life.”
She added, “This new vocal class by Symphony Music is very exciting and beneficial for those interested in taking their vocals to the next level. I am confident that students will gain more knowledge and improve their vocals from the comprehensive training we offer in these classes.”
At the age of three, Maria had her first formal training at Symphony Music – the sole authorised school in Brunei for Yamaha Music Education. She went on to complete the ABRSM grade 8 piano a few years later and from then on, her career in music took off.
