THE Ministry of Education (MoE) and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE) Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) will be holding the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) International Conference 2014 on November 27 – 30, with the theme “First Steps to Nurturing Future Leaders”, a press release stated.
The purpose of this conference is to bring together a diverse group of early childhood scholars, experts and professionals concerned with research, practice and policy making in early childhood care and education.
It is also aimed at sharing current best practice and policy making in early childhood care and education with focus on policies, practices and approaches that respond effectively to contextual circumstances, discuss and define future goals for early childhood care and education, which reflects both international and national concerns regarding young children and their future and address current challenges and future pathways for achieving goals based in best practices examples.
The conference will conclude with a closing ceremony during which a synopsis of findings; discussions and implications will be presented and discussed by a panel of international experts in early childhood care and education.
The four-day conference provides a platform for educators, researchers, teachers and other professionals to discuss pertinent current issues and trends in early childhood care and education in the following strands.
