SEAMEO Voctech yesterday hosted the opening ceremony for its regional training programme ‘Excellence in Curriculum Implementation Through Visionary Leadership and Situational Supervision (E-Class)’. The event was attended by 37 directors, principals, heads of divisions from the nine SEAMEO member countries – Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The event was officiated by SEAMEO Voctech’s Centre Director, Hj Md Sharifuddin bin Hj Md Salleh.
Hj Md Sharifuddin said the programme was designed to assist the Asean participants enhance their skills in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation with appropriate leadership and supervisory techniques.
E-Class also aims to develop the capabilities of the school administrators and teachers in teamworking during curriculum development, implementation and managing a well-crafted curricular system.
The training programme also includes a regional forum on ‘Issues, Challenges and Best Practices in Curriculum Implementation’ which is scheduled to be held on February 3.
The forum will be an avenue for attendees to share experiences in supervising curriculum implementation. There will also be experts sharing their experiences on issues and challenges in delivering curricular programmes and how they develop and implement best practices during the implementation.
