BRUNEI DPMM FC will be playing their first home match against Harimau Muda in the S League on March 1 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) in a press release has confirmed the 2015 S League fixtures. The first domestic title of the year will be contested between league winners Warriors FC and Singapore Cup holders Balestier Khalsa in the Charity Shield 2015 on March 1 at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.
DPMM FC’s subsequent matches will be away trips against Albirex Niigata on March 7 and Courts Young Lions on March 11.
The Charity Shield is the curtain-raiser showdown between the cup and league winners but the result after normal time had been contested will be taken into account in the league table.
However, should the two sides cannot be separated in normal time, the match will go down to extra time and penalties if the score remain level.
The FAS also announced that the Singapore Cup will kick off on Wednesday (May 20) with the final scheduled for Friday (Nov 27).
Domestic football will take a break for the SEA Games from June 5 to June 16 before resuming the League Cup, which will take place between June 19 and July 10, the press release added.
The 20th season of Singapore’s only professional sports league will draw to a close on Nov 22.
