DPMM FC will play Balestier Khalsa in another massive encounter of the S League on Saturday (Oct 25) at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
The club has also confirmed that entry will be free and welcomed supporters to throng the stadium as the team looks to get up and running in the third round of the league.
Title-chasing DPMM FC are now four points adrift Warriors FC after the recent league leaders clinched their third successive third-round game at home to Tampines Rovers FC 2-1 and effectively closed the door on the reigning champions.
Tampines are out of the title race following the defeat which leaves DPMM FC and Warriors FC to battle it out on a two-way horse race. Warriors had played two games more but the Brunei- based side need to win the games in hand to regain a two-point advantage. Tampines took the lead in the 4th minute through Noh Alam Shah but Warriors pegged back into level terms through Agu Casmir.
Alex Weaver’s side came out with the winner from their dangerman Miroslav Pejic in the 80th minute to give them a real chance for the title.
DPMM FC, second with 46 points, still has Balestier Khalsa at home on Saturday and Albirex Niigata (S) on October 28 to come before closing their S League season with a trip to Singapore against Tampines Rovers FC on October 31.
