DPMM FC will be playing a series of pre-season fixtures in Thailand starting with a friendly against Air Force Central FC today (Feb 4).
Last season’s S League runners-up DPMM FC could be looking to experiment players and try out their system that they have been perfecting on during training.
A total of 22 players including Brazilian import Rafael Ramazotti are in Thailand for the friendly games.
The squad had a training session at the Rajamangala National Stadium yesterday ahead of the first friendly this year.
Like DPMM FC, Air Force Central will be commencing their season soon in the Thailand Division One against BBCU on Feb 15.
The three- time Thailand FA Cup winners suffered relegation after finishing 19th – second from bottom – in the Thailand Premier League.
Air Force Central lost 3-0 to Bangkok Glass in their last friendly match in December last year.
DPMM FC will face another Division One side Bangkok FC on Feb 7 before meeting Thailand top-flight side Suphanburi FC on Feb 9.
Bangkok FC narrowly missed promotion to Thailand Premier League after only managing a 1-1 draw on the final day of the season in Division One. The capital club needed a win to pip Siam Navy in the final spot for promotion during the 2014 season.
Suphanburi – who qualified for the semi-finals of the Thailand FA Cup and finished sixth in the league last season – looks to be the toughest test out of the three on paper for DPMM FC.
DPMM FC will begin their S League campaign on March 1 at home to Harimau Muda.
