BRUNEI DPMM FC have five games to play till the end of the season needing at least four of those matches to guarantee the coveted S League title.
The latest fixtures for the S League at least in the context of DPMM FC have been released as the Brunei-based side continue to do battle in search for a first title.
The ‘Gegar-Gegar’ men are currently sitting comfortably on top of the table and five points ahead of Warriors FC but surely will not become complacent as they reach the later stages of the season.
DPMM FC play Home United first up at home at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium on September 17.
The Protectors are a side in desperate need for points if they are to revive faltering hopes of staying in touch with the teams ranked higher than them. A defeat for Home will surely put them out of the title race.
Following a two- legged tie against the same opponents which could essentially mean playing them an astonishing five times in a single calendar year in the Singapore Cup on September 23 and September 26, DPMM FC will host second-placed Warriors FC which in more ways than one could determine the destination of the title on October 7.
DPMM FC will meet sixth- placed Balestier Khalsa FC at home on October 24 who finished strongly to pip Hougang for the final berth and ensured a place in the top half of the table.
DPMM FC will close their S League campaign away to Albirex Niigata (S) on October 28 and Tampines Rovers FC on October 31.
