IN light of the Brunei Darussalam and Chinese Taipei’s two-legged tie in the Preliminary Joint Qualification Round One for FIFA World Cup 2018 and the AFC Asian Cup Finals 2019, DPMM FC’s home S League match with Home United FC on March 18 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium has been re-scheduled to March 21.
The club have been granted permission to play the Protectors three days after the Brunei national team are due to meet Chinese Taipei in the second leg of the FIFA World Cup qualifying at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
The change of fixture helps resolve the challenge facing the club’s players representing the national team of playing so close to each with minimal recovery period in between.
The return leg of Brunei’s double-header with Chinese Taipei has been scheduled for March 17, a day before DPMM FC’s proposed home encounter against Home United.
The notable change for DPMM FC’s fixture with Albirex Niigata is that the club will be playing at home soil in their second league game.
The original S League fixture list showed that DPMM FC has been scheduled to play Albirex on March 7 at the Jurong East Stadium.
According to the club’s Facebook page, DPMM FC will also play away to Hougang United FC at the Hougang Stadium on April 4 and Geylang International FC on April 16 at the Bedok Stadium in Singapore.
The second round of the S League will tentatively start on July 22 with DPMM FC playing Home United FC in a reverse fixture at the Yishun Stadium in Singapore.
Meanwhile, DPMM FC have announced that tickets will be on sale for the Harimau Muda’s home game at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium starting from 9am on match day.
Tickets will be sold at $5 for the uncovered roofing while the covered one will be priced at $8.
