BEGINNING October 15 to December 31, 2014, The Brunei Hotel Choices Restaurant is having another series of its food promotion themed ‘Surf & Turf’ where diners can opt for its meat or seafood menu with all the choices of main dishes served with Tossed Vegetables and Flavoured Quinoa and one-serving of Soup of the Day with Coffee or Tea.
For its meat selection, Choices uses grass-fed beef which are proven to be healthy. At 140 grammes per serving, diners can have the choice of Fillet Mignon, a steak cut of beef taken from the smaller end of the tenderloin, or the Rib Eye Five and Top Sirloin.
As for the Fish and Seafood selection menu, diners can either go for the Baked Crusted Sweet Onion Snapper Fillet, Steam Baked Snapper Fillet with Preserved Olive, Grilled Salmon with Tabbouleh, Barbecued Cod Fish with Thai Dressing, Grilled Tiger Prawns and Broiled Half Lobster Tail.
‘Surf & Turf’ also offers choices of Chicken and Lamb in the menu, which comprise a selection of Baked Chicken ‘Kerala’ Style, Provencal Braised Boneless Chicken Marengo (a French dish consisting of a chicken sautéed in oil with garlic and tomato, garnished with olives), Moist Lemon Chicken with Herbs, Broiled Herbs Marinated Lamb Shank and Blackened Lamb Griddle.
Quinoa is a species of goosefoot (Chenopodium), a grain crop grown primarily for its edible seeds and it is a pseudo cereal rather than a true cereal, as it is not a member of the true grass family.
