DES School recently held its annual Spelling Bee Contest with the theme “Enriching vocabulary Through Spelling” for Year 1-6 students. The contest aimed to promote knowledge of proper word usage, encourage students to strive for excellence in spelling skills and to provide an opportunity for students to meet and compete with their peers in a fun-filled and challenging atmosphere.
Students were selected to compete in three different categories; Easy, Moderate, and Difficult. Five Master Spellers were awarded last Saturday. They were Muhammad Naim Fikri bin Muhammad Fauzi of Year 1 (Wise), Syaza Nour-el’ Ain binti Shahrum of Year 2 (Helpful), Nurina Tihani binti Hj Adanan of Year 3 (Awesome), Alya Nadhirah binti Kudilah of Year 4 (Dynamic) and Muhammad Danish Al Hadi bin Abdullah Muhammad Ya’akub of Year 5 (Trustworthy).
