THE DES School recently conducted a Teambuilding Exercise for all its staff based on the theme ‘Shared Leadership: Personal Empowerment in a Team Environment’.
The objective of the exercise was to develop a good working relationship between all members of staff, allowing staff the chance to work with different sets of peers in order to increase familiarity, sharing best practices in solving problems and generating new ideas. This will lead to higher performance from staff as a united team. The exercise took place in the Recreational Park at the Health Promotion Centre.
The exercise programme began after a thanksgiving prayer was recited by the Principal of the DES School, Bahrein bin Haji Abu Bakar.
During the exercise the three main points that participants were reminded to focus on were communication and cooperation.
Participants were placed in groups of 10 and had to achieve a set of objectives in pre-planned activities that promote a spirit of teamwork.
The exercise came to a close with the presentation of certificates and gifts to participants followed by a closing remark from the school’s Managing Director, Pg Hjh Ernie Suryanie Pg Hj Othman.
