A DELEGATION from the Vietnam Women’s Union, which is currently in the Sultanate for a six-day working visit, paid a visit to the Bistari Day K at Taman Permata Hijau, Berakas Link Road.
Leading the delegation was Madam Mme Bui Thi Huo, the Vice-President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU). Also joining the group were Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Huon, Vice-Director at the Department of Family and Social Affairs and Madam Nguyen Thi Kim Yan, Staff of International Relations Department of VWU.
The delegation was welcomed upon arrival by Datin Hajah Khadijah binti Haji Akhbar, Chairperson of Bistari.
In her welcome speech, Datin Hajah Khadijah thanked the VWU delegation for visiting the facility. She explained that one of the main objectives of the daycare is to help working mothers find alternative assistance in taking care of their children.
Bistari Day K also stresses on the importance of overall safety and cleanliness of the children under its care. The delegation then toured the facilities and interacted with the children.
Today, the delegation will pay a courtesy visit to the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Datin Paduka Hajah Adina binti Othman and join the Vietnam National Day celebrations at night.
The VWU’s working visit aims to enhance cooperation and promote the exchange of experiences and information between both associations.
Also present during the visit were the President of Brunei Darussalam’s Women’s Council (CWBD), Pg Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam binti Pg Hj Matarsat, members of the association as well as the Bistari Day K Executive Committee.
