THE second ‘Ceramah Kuliah Subuh Bersama Mufti’ (Dawn lecture with the State Mufti) which emphasises the significance of Selawat towards Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) continued yesterday at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Mosque in RPN Kampong Rimba.
The State Mufti, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Hj Awg Abdul Aziz bin Juned, focused on the preferable invocation, which is the Selawat Ibrahimiah that we recite daily in prayers after the final Tahiyyat, whereby he said “Allahuma Shalli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad” is already sufficient enough and could be recited repeatedly to serve as Zikir.
He added that the Selawat is beneficial and a blessing; those who pray would be fluent with the invocation thus he urged that we make it a part of our daily Zikir and recite it often.
The State Mufti explained that the more the in-vocation of Selawat is recited, the higher the rank a person will be on the Day of Resurrection.
The State Mufti also touched on Zikir and Selawat as important to have in an event or a ceremony so as to gain blessings from Allah the Almighty.
He said an event that has the Doa (prayer) is guaranteed to bring blessings and mercy, as the Doa itself is a remembrance of the prophet.
