SUFRI Bolkiah Secondary School emerged champions of the Cyber Security Awareness Week 2014’s Creative Presentation Competition against nine other schools, organised by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) at the Rizqun International Hotel.
The guest of honour who also presented the prizes was Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdullah bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar Minister of Communications.
He was accompanied by Awang Haji Yahkup bin Haji Menudin, AITI Chief Executive Officer.
The winners of the presentation competition covered a number of aspects on cyber security and reinforced the theme of this year’s event which led them to victory and receiving certificates of participation, a trophy and an Apple iPad Mini for each team member.
St James School scored first runner-up and won themselves certificates of participation, a trophy and a Samsung Tablet for each team member, while Awang Semaun Secondary School placed as the second runner-up winning certificates of participation, a trophy and a Samsung Tablet Lite for each team member.
Awang Semaun Secondary School also won the ‘Most Creative Team Category’ with the team’s presentation that had the best and most innovative use of slides and graphics to convey their message to the audience.
Samuel Paul Johnson from St George’s School was awarded the ‘Best Speaker of the Presentation’.
Seven other participating schools were also awarded with certificates of participation and trophies.
