SOME 45 officers who intend to retire recently attended an eight-day course organised by Civil Service Institute (IPA).
Held on November 12-22, its closing and certificate presentation ceremony took place at Community Hall of Village Consultative Council (MPK) Kg Puni in Temburong District.
Presenting the certificates was chief guest Hajah Linda Aini Abdullah, Senior Special Duties Officer cum Head of Management and Coordinator, Civil Service Institute, Prime Minister’s Office.
Conducted six times a year, the course aims to provide an opportunity for the officers to make early preparations and planning before their retirement and at the same time learn how to balance their life after retirement.
The participants also learn how to manage and financial planning, marketing planning especially for those interested in involving themselves in business.
Some 100 intending retired officers attended the similar course each time it was conducted and participants were from government departments and ministries from Division 1-5.
The modules of the course included talk and several visits to related agencies.
