WHEN it comes to Internet usage on smartphones, there are plenty more that DST users can reap from the Web once they master the know-how.
Aside from stay connected to loved ones, especially through social media platforms, mobile Internet also plays a significant role in providing entertainment, access to timely information, education and much more.
As part of its efforts to encourage valued customers to do more on the Web while saving costs, subscribers are encouraged to take advantage of the variety of add-on Internet data packages made available through the DST MBB (Mobile Broadband) Self-Help Portal.
Ever since its launch, DST MBB has received tremendously positive feedback.
The DST MBB Self-Help Portal is a Web service (https://dstmbb.dst-group.com) interface that enables both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers to purchase any add-on data packages and to monitor data usage.
Under the same name, the portal is also made available in mobile applications – DST MBB can be downloaded for free from both Android Google Play and the Apple AppStore.
This application allows users to conveniently access the DST MBB Self-Help portal in one click, as an alternative, easier way to access it instead of manually typing in the DST MBB Self-Help URL address in a device’s Web browser.
For pre-paid subscribers, the add-on data packages have been adjusted to suit usage patterns and customers can enjoy a data volume of 3GB for only $20, valid for 30 days.
These packages are cheaper when compared to the charges of pay-as-you-use data, which costs $0.01/200kb, equivalent to approximately $52 per 1GB.
As such, the purchase of prepaid add-on data of one gigabyte would users only $10 with DST MBB, which means cost-saving of almost 70 per cent.
On the other hand, post-paid add-on data of 1GB will only cost subscribes $8, a relatively significant saving compared to pay-as-you-go data of $52 for one gigabyte.
