IN KEEPING up with the times and busy office atmospheres, where quantity and quality are of utmost importance, Canon yesterday unveiled the new addition to the award-winning imageRUNNER business solution series, the iR2002N, during a media press conference at the Canon Showroom in Jalan Tutong.
Briefing the media about the new series was Chiu Siew Yii, Product Manager of Interhouse Company, Canon sole distributor in Brunei Darussalam.
She explained that the iR2002N is designed to improve productivity and is cost-efficient for growing and start-up businesses as it incorporates a copy, scan and print features in a single machine. This provides businesses a great opportunity to transition from analogue standalone copiers to digital multi-function devices with high-quality output at a lower cost-per-print.
“The new iR2002N provides a practical and economical solution for organisations of small and medium sizes. With centralised printing, copying and scanning for multiple users, these new cost-efficient devices enable organisations to make the switch from standalone printers – which will help to boost work productivity while ensuring greater savings,” he said.
Moreover, designed with the end user in mind, the A3 monochrome iR2002N boasts features such as – remote scanning compatible with the Canon MF Toolbox which allows users to operate the device from the control panel or a PC workstation, and instantly converts scanned documents and images into various formats – including compact PDF and Optical Character Recognition (OCR)/searchable PDF, HPEG, Bitmap or TIFF with a maximum resolution of 300x300dpi.
The Canon MF Toolbox will further enable iR2002N users to scan and send documents to a pre-defined e-mail application or store them in a PC folder, all with one simple, intuitive user interface. This allows organisations to automate time-consuming processes and to focus on their core business functions in order to increase profitability and productivity.
The series is also designed to support high performance enterprises and growing work groups. For instance, the iR2002N has the ability to support up to 1,000 department IDs for better resource management. This means that enterprises can continue to enjoy the performance of the iR2002N in spite of growing staff numbers. The iR2002N also provide users with smooth and reliable printing, achieving speeds of up to 20 A4 pages per minute.
Additionally, the iR2002N place print functionality at the fingertips of today’s mobile workers. Paired with the free Canon Mobile Printing application, users can now print wirelessly from any location – as long as all the devices are connected on the same network. Users have the choice to print a selection of file formats from JPEG to PDFs with several print options (such as duplex, paper size) on the iR2002N from a single mobile application.
The iR2002N features a self-lit energy saving hard button with a swift recovery time of 2.9 seconds from sleep mode to when the start key becomes enabled. With the On-Demand fixing technology and low-melting point in toner, these devices have low power consumption and a low TEC value of 1.18kwH.
Requiring less space with a smaller footprint and streamlined design, the iR2002N is network ready, offering users who are in the same office network the convenience of shared access to files, and making it an affordable central printing device.
Additionally, users will enjoy after sales services with a two- to four-hour response time from Canon Interhouse Company team.
As Interhouse Company celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, it is offering customers an extended one-year warranty and a free tube of toner upon with purchase of the newly launched iR2002N model, until November 30.
