YOU can now build your own customised cloud through the new Android based Acer Iconia One 8 tablet.
Concepts Computer yesterday showcased the Iconia One 8 tablet during a signing ceremony between Concepts Computer, Sin Chew Media Corporation Berhad and Acer.
The signing of the three-way collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was to promote their respective products, the said tablet and Sin Chew Daily e-paper. In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, Concepts Computer will be offering the Acer Iconia One 8 pre-installed with Sin Chew E-paper at an affordable price and with three years warranty from Acer.
Acer’s Build Your Own Cloud (BYOC) lives on one’s own device so the storage capacity of the cloud can be as big as they want, yet with ultimate privacy and security – with BYOC Apps wirelessly sync and get access to the digital life anytime, anywhere.
The Iconia One 8 comes in a rainbow of colours and is light. With neat features that create a bright and clear screen, speedy and responsive use, and great HD media playback, one can get hours of fun in a slim package.
The HD LCD with IPS1 technology brings out every detail of the display from any angle. Put that together with Zero Air Gap technology and one can get brighter and crisper images with higher contrast and considerably better visibility in sunlight.
Equipped with Intel quad-core performance for games, videos and web browsing, one gets an additional boost from the improved performance of Android 4.4, and up to seven hours of battery life.
Leong Zie Tyu, Regional Manager of Sin Chew Daily, said, “This is a great collaborative step in the 85 years history of Sin Chew Media. E-Paper is the future of news-media and a hot trend right now. Reading them on a portable tablet device is currently fashionable and stylish.” She added, “And for our regular readers in Brunei, the E-Paper will cut down their waiting time, where before, because of geographical issues, our readers in Brunei can only get the printed paper by 10am, but with the Sin Chew E-paper, it will be released simultaneously at 6am.”
Vincent Pao, the General Manager of Concepts Computer, said, “Concepts Computer has a large customer base in the Bruneian Chinese community, so it is actually a correct decision for us to collaborate with Sin Chew Media to provide their E-Paper pre-installed on Acer Iconia One 8 tablets.”
Also present at the MoU signing ceremony was Azalinah Tuah, Senior Retail Executive for Concepts Computer and Richard Soo, Miri Branch Manager for Acer.
