COMMITTEE members of the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) charity car boot sale were presented with certificates of appreciation for their contributions during the charity event held recently.
The certificate presentation was held on November 18 during a luncheon hosted by Dato Paduka Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Executive and Medical Director of JPMC, who also presented the certificates to the committee members.
The JPMC charity car boot sale was held on November 9 in conjunction with The World Sight Day 2014 and was aimed to raise funds for the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind (BDNAB).
“I would like to congratulate the committee members for their hard work and the excellent team spirit they have shown during the JPMC charity car boot sale event. I believe that the strong cooperation between the staff members of JPMC will continue to thrive in the future,” said Dato Paduka Dr Haji Mohd Isham.
“This project has further established a sense of community that exists among JPMC staff members that were involved. Furthermore, the event has successfully collected over $1,000. We will be revealing the exact amount during a cheque presentation to the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind (BDNAB) at a later date,” said Ak Danny, Marketing Officer of JPMC.
The JPMC charity car boot sale that is part of JPMC’s corporate social responsibility programme which received a very encouraging response. A total of 47 vendors participated in the charity drive.
The event was held in collaboration with the Jerudong Park and Country Club (JPCC) and sponsored by Arch Media Advertising, DCON Facilities and Souvenirs and Kwang Wei Advertising and Displays Co with support from Ranoadidas.com as official media partner.
“We had an enjoyable time preparing and supporting the event. I hope to participate in similar events organised by JPMC in the future. I am proud to be a part of a strong team and the response that we received from the vendors and visitors on that day was very encouraging,” said Azirah Kadir, one of the committee members.
