NEARLY 1,000 cups of free iced tea from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf were distributed to participants and the public who came in strong numbers to celebrate the country’s 31st National Day at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien yesterday.
Coffee Bean handed out iced tea between 8am and 11pm along Jalan Sultan in front of its Maya Puri outlet as part of the franchise’s Caring Cup programme.
The popular Pomelo Iced Tea is said to be energising as it contains catechins, a type of antioxidant.
“For over 12 years, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has been serving our signature drinks to Bruneians, ranging from our hot drinks to the famous ice-blended drinks.
“As the country progresses, we aim to further increase our corporate social responsibility initiatives through our Caring Cup programmes. By providing refreshments at events such as this we help ensure the event runs smoothly,” said training manager of Coffee Bean, Mohamad Fairuz bin Ibrahim.
Additionally, customers with birthday falling on February 23 got a free ice-blended drink yesterday.
