LOCAL coaches are reminded to have an open mind set in new approaches in training young goalkeepers to further improve and develop the performance of football in the country.
The call was made by Awang Ah Chua B Bangau, executive committee member of the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) in his speech at the closing ceremony of the FIFA Goalkeeping Course attended by 26 local coaches.
The first of its kind five-day coaching course was conducted by FIFA instructor Bob Browaeys from Belgium.
Awang Ah Chua who presented the certificate of completion to the participants also highlighted coaches to unite and work together to share experience as well as knowledge in the development of football.
He hoped that the participants will made use of the knowledge learned in the course in their training.
Meanwhile, Browaeys thanked NFABD for hosting the course and hoped that the participants managed to attain the objectives of the course which are to get more insight of goalkeeping work, how to train senior goalkeepers, educate young goalkeepers as well as analyse the performance of goalkeepers in the World Cup.
