IN CONJUNCTION with the International World Sight Day 2014, a global event that focuses on bringing attention on blindness and vision impairment, Perfect Vision Brunei conducted a full-day eye check yesterday and donated free fully-customised vision glasses to a total of 45 students from Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in Bengkurong yesterday.
This is the second year for Perfect Vision Brunei to organise such an event as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme with the objectives of bettering the lives of all recipients of the customised vision glasses by providing a clearer vision in order for them to become more productive as well as effective.
The guest of honour who delivered the donations was Pusat Ehsan’s Policy and Planning Trustee, Hj Ahmad bin Hj Abd Rahman.
Perfect Vision’s target recipients for this year were the special needs students from Pusat Ehsan who required customised vision glasses for their studies but were either unaware of their current vision problems or simply because they could not afford to purchase the custom-made glasses.
Moreover, teachers of Pusat Ehsan might also not be aware of their eyesight problems.
By donating customised vision glasses, this their vision can be corrected and it may not only help them to study or perform their daily tasks better but also assist in controlling their eyesight from worsening as they grow older.
In conjunction with Perfect Vision’s 2nd year anniversary this November, they are also now giving away three pairs of complete frame packages each week starting from the first week of September to the last week of November 2014.
Other surprise giveaways include ColourVue exclusive three-month disposable coloured contact lenses as well as other interesting prizes. More information can be found on their Facebook Page at PerfectVisionBrunei.
