MARKING the 24th anniversary of its establishment, the Civil Service Club yesterday held a morning jogathon session for its members as well as the general public.
Present to join in the celebration was Awang Haji Yahya bin Haji Idris, Permanent Secretary (Corporate Affairs and Public Administration) at the Prime Minister’s Office. Also present were directors, assistant directors, senior officials, officers and staff members of the Civil Service Department, the Village Head of Kg Mentiri as well as school students.
The event kicked off with a Zumba warm-up session at the multi-purpose hall of the Civil Service Club. It then continued with the official launching of the 24th anniversary celebration prior to the jogathon flag-off by the guest of honour.
The celebration was further enlivened with a bunny show, lucky draws and many other exciting activities.
Among the objectives of the event were promoting the club to the general public, particularly civil servants as well as enhancing the relationship among staff members of the Civil Service Department and members of the club.
It is also part of the club’s effort to expand their sports activities in a secure and safe environment.
The Civil Service Club will be organising various activities throughout the year and will encourage members of the club to participate in the activities that will be carried out in the future.
