THREE students from Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS), BSB, received the Gold Medal Award for topping other high distinction achievers who participated in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) English test organised by University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia in July this year. The top award was given to examinees belonging to the top one per cent of all students who sat for the English test.
The three gold medalists were Zoe Chan Zhi Yi (Y3), Abhishek Nehemiah Prince (Y4) and Leow Wei Lun (Y7).
The other three students who obtained high distinction were Kam Yi Jie (Y4), Amanda Mila Chiang May Li (Y5) and Seyrence Lee Jin Hui (Y10).
Out of 233 examinees from CHMS, six were awarded High Distinction Certificates, 40 Distinction Certificates, 70 Credit Certificates, 19 Merit Certificates and 98 Participation Certificates.
