CHUNG Ching Middle School (CCMS) Secondary honoured its high achievers in this year’s International Competitions and Assessment for School (ICAS) Australian Mathematics Competition. Twenty-seven students participated in the competition and more than 75 per cent achieved credits and above, and were awarded by the school principal, Loo Kuan Lein
The school congratulated Allen Yong Wei Yuan for being the top student nationwide.
He received a medal from the ICAS Mathematics Competition 2014.
The aim of the students’ participation in the competition is to stimulate students’ interest and enthusiasm in problem solving as well as to develop their mathematical intuition and logical thinking. Moreover, the students are encouraged to face challenging questions and at the same time raise the Mathematics standard in the school.
