THIRTY career educators from both the government and private educational institutions, including religious schools, yesterday attended the ‘Advance Course in Career Education’ course at the Counseling and Career Guidance Section, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.
Throughout the five-day workshop, participants will be exposed to various career-related issues and topics such as personality tests, career theories, career counselling, counselling skills, career in the Islamic perspective, practical methods and steps on writing a resume.
The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with knowledge on self-awareness and matters related to economics, education and career. At the same time, it aims to teach participants through advance courses about career education skills they can implement within their respective schools, colleges or other educational institutions.
The workshop also aims to provide career educators with the latest information on how to provide students the guidance necessary in deciding their further study options.
Organised by the Career Education Unit, the workshop is scheduled to end on February 7.
