A SERIES of investment promotion activities will be held on the sidelines of the 11th China-Asean Expo (CAEXPO) focussing on the key areas of inter-connectivity such as construction of the Maritime Silk Road, industrial, maritime and financial cooperation.
The promotion activities that are lined up include the Promotion Conference on Asean Industrial Parks, Roundtable Meeting on Investment Cooperation, Business Networking of Commercial Counselors and Entrepreneurs, Financial Support for Chinese Enterprises Investing in Asean, investment and financing matchmaking and national promotion seminars of 10 Asean countries as well as Chinese provinces and cities.
These activities will provide valuable information and business opportunities and are aimed at promoting investment cooperation between China and Asean.
Singapore, the country of honour and special guest country of this year’s CAEXPO, will hold several activities which include the opening ceremony of Singapore pavilion, Round-Table Dialogue between State Leader of the Republic of Singapore and CEOs from China, China-Singapore Economic Corridor Mayor’s Roundtable Meeting and Alliance for FDI Promotion Gala Dinner.
People-to-people and cultural activities will also be held during the CAEXPO including photography exhibition, Nanning International Folk Song and Arts Festival, China-Singapore Film Week 2014 and China-Asean Youth Artwork Competition, which will further enhance understanding and friendship between the Chinese and Asean people.
The 11th China-Asean Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) has a clear-cut theme. Ministers and high-level government officials of China and Asean countries, representatives of various chambers of commerce and business circles, delegates from international organisations, experts and scholars will hold discussions on the theme – ‘Jointly Building the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road’.
There will be a series of exchange activities between China and Asean business circles which include China-Asean Business Leaders Forum, China-Malaysia Joint Business Council Meeting and China–Malaysia Business and Investment Forum.
