BUSINESS trips pose strains both to the traveller’s overall health and nerves, according to the results of a major survey in Germany.
The study, carried out the German Travel Association DRV, concluded that nine of 10 managers reported health issues while travelling for business. Among other ailments, about a third reported sleep disruptions and a quarter said the night felt too short.
Other problems reported: jetlag (22 per cent) and finding time to relax (20 per cent).
Among the causes of stress that the business travellers cited were the lengthy travel times and poorly-planned travel connections. – dpa
