SINOFOOD Express aims to provide more employment opportunities for Belait District with the opening of the fourth and biggest Burger King Brunei outlet in the town centre of Kuala Belait yesterday.
Currently, 90 per cent of the workers at the Kuala Belait outlet are locals.
Marketing Manager Lim Kei Wai said there were plans to have more Belait District employees, adding that there would be a walk-in interview this Monday, from 1pm to 4pm.
“Most of our workers are part-timers. This is an oppotunity for those interested in gaining experience in the food and beverage industry,” he added.
The new outlet is located where Jln Pretty intersects with Jln Bunga Raya.
Lim said the location has its advantages.
“With Kuala Belait a convenient location near the Sarawak border, we also hope to attract customers from Miri as the city has yet to open a Burger King outlet.”
“As wonderful Kuala Belait is, we wish to add more life and colour to the town.
“We also want to offer more to our customers in Belait District. This can be a good place for them to have lunch, dinner or for them to do work as there is free Wi-Fi,” said Lim.
In conjunction with the soft opening, Burger King Brunei also introduced the Mushroom Swiss Tendergrill Chicken Burger as a way to celebrate the success of it being one of Brunei’s favourite burgers.
The Mushroom Swiss Tendergrill Chicken Burger is permanently included in the Mushroom Swiss Burgers for customers.
