IN CONJUNCTION with the three-day work visit by Dato Abdul Hadi bin Awang Kechil, Head Director of the National Service Training Department who is accompanied by a delegation from the National Service Volunteer Brigade (BSKN) to the National Service Programme (PKBN) Brunei Darussalam, a dinner reception was held last night at the Goldstone Ballroom, Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong.
Present as the guest of honour was the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Haji Mohd Noor Jusmin bin Haji Abdul Samad.
The guest of honour in his speech praised Dato Abdul Hadi for sharing Malaysia’s experience in implementing BSKN and volunteer programmes.
He also added that cooperation such as this is much appreciated and he hopes that it will be further developed from time to time. He also announced that this is Dato Abdul Hadi’s second visit and will be his last before he begins his retirement.
In a response speech, Lt Col Rosli bin Tahir, who represented Dato Abdul Hadi in the ceremony, stated that Dato Abdul Hadi expressed his gratitude and praised effort and steps taken by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in developing the National Service Programme (PKBN).
Also present at the event were senior officers of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, PKBN and committee members of the PKBN Taskforce.
