A TOTAL of 89 senior golfers from three territories will assemble in Brunei Darussalam for the 7th Pan Borneo Senior Amateur Golf Championships over three days on October 27-29 at Royal Brunei Golf & Country Club.
The last time Brunei hosted the tournament was in 2010.
The welcoming ceremony will be held at 8pm tomorrow at the Royal Berkshire Hall in Jerudong.
It will be officiated by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah.
Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abd Aziz will grace the closing ceremony on Wednesday at The Royal Brunei Golf & Country Clubhouse.
The first Pan Borneo Amateur Golf Championship was inaugurated in Brunei Darussalam seven years ago.
The format will be stroke play in gross and nett for senior competitive over 36 holes.
During the last tournament in Kota Kinabalu last year, Brunei emerged the Team Overall Gross champion, while Sabah won the Team Overall Nett Champion.
With home ground advantage, Brunei are aiming to perform better this year.
