A DELEGATION from Brunei Darussalam led by Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohammad Alimin bin Abdul Wahab, Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, recently attended the “Workshop on Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Towards Substance Social Protection” in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop took place from February 1 to 5.
Other participants from Brunei included Hajah Jaaranah binti Haji Talib from Asean Disability Forum, and Muhammad Izz bin Osman Zaini from the National Association for the Hearing-Impaired (OKP).
According to the convention, the workshop was aimed at exchanging knowledge and experience on the reporting process of UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), as well as to give the opportunity for Asean member states to exchange among their groups regarding sustainable social protection.
