BRUNEI Darussalam Table Tennis Association (BDTTA) had supported and funded three teams to participate in two categories of the 16th Sabah Table Tennis Commercial Cup at the Borneo Sports Arena in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah over the weekend.
In the Premier Category, the team consisted of players that have won major tournaments held in Malaysia and from the Brunei national team.
Meanwhile, two teams have been selected for the novice category specifically for those who were not able to qualify for the premier category.
Brunei’s novice team, ‘Beast’ impressed in the competition finishing third in their event.
The guest of honour at the closing ceremony was Sabah’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Haji Tawfiq Hj Abu Bakar, who also gave away the prizes.
The event was organised by the Kota Kinabalu Table Tennis Association.
