BRUNEI-MUARA District wushu exponents sparkle at the 2nd Brunei Darussalam National Games by collecting 14 gold, four silver and four bronze medals from a total of 23 categories to emerge champion in the wushu discipline.
The Miri Wushu Association came in second place by winning three gold, six silver and two bronze medals while Temburong with two gold, four silver and two bronze medals claimed the third position.
In fourth place were invited team Sibu with one gold, three silver and four bronze medals followed by Tutong (one gold, one silver, one bronze), Kuala Belait (two silver, two bronze), Tarian Singa Miri (one silver, one bronze) and Chin Woo Miri (one bronze).
The guest-of-honour, Haji Rosmadee bin Hj Md Daud the Acting Director of Youth and Sports presented the prizes to the winners.
Following the completion of the wushu events of the Brunei Darussalam National Games, the Brunei wushu team will head to the Philippines on Saturday (Nov 29) to compete in the 6th Asean School Games.
Led by national coach Li Hui, the eight wushu exponents are Sherissa Lim Wan Chi, Basma Lachkar, Koh Yun C, Ang Guat Lian, Majdurano Joel bin Majallag Sain, Mohammad Adi Syarani bin Roslan, Mohammad Adi Salihin bin Roslan and Mohammad Sufi Shayiran bin Roslan. Ang Lu Guan will also be part of the delegation.
