THE Permanent Secretariat of Brunei Vision 2035 at the Prime Minister’s Office, together with the Ministry of Home Affairs, hosted a talk session yesterday for mukim penghulus and village heads of Zones 1 and 3 in the Brunei-Muara District.
In his welcoming remarks, Nadzri bin Haji Yahya, the Acting Director of the Permanent Secretariat of Brunei Vision 2035, said that briefings and talks on the national development scheme have been conducted since 2016, for around 1,600 officers from various government organisations and agencies such as the Civil Service Institute, the Informa-tion Department and DARe (Darussalam Enterprise).
He said the Permanent Secretariat is focussed on disseminating information on the subject among grassroots leaders, entrepreneurs, educational institutions and the public.
“The sessions will provide an introduction to Brunei Vision 2035 in the aspects of governance, framework and the efforts being made towards its implementation,” he said, adding, “It is hoped that everyone will gain knowledge that will lead to more progress towards the successful realisation of Brunei Vision 2035.”
Yesterday’s session highlighted the role of mukim penghulus and village heads in accomplishing the goals of Brunei Vision 2035, while providing them with general information on the topic.
This is the fourth of several sessions carried out in all four districts, with 45 mukim penghulus and village heads being present during the talk.
Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim, the Brunei-Muara District Officer, as well as Legislative Council (LegCo) members YB Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maon, the Penghulu of Mukim Berakas ‘B’; and YB Naim bin Haji Kamis, the Penghulu of Mukim Kota Batu were also present.
