BRUNEI Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) recently received a visit by 49 officials from the Department of Technical Education (DTE) as part of an induction for the government’s new recruits.
According to a press release, the purpose of the visit was aimed at acquiring basic knowledge and to expose the recruits to the company’s best practices.
Deputy CEO of BMC, Daud bin Hj Jais, welcomed the visitors.
A briefing was given on safety and BMC’s administration and operations, covering practices from both corporate and technical aspects.
The visit included a tour of BMC Methanol Plant.
Brunei Methanol Company is active in supporting the Department of Technical Education initiatives. Brunei Methanol Company support includes giving opportunity for industrial attachment at plant.
Since 2012, there have been approximately 43 industrial attachment students.
